Jimmie Walker, whose full name is James Carter Walker Jr., is an American actor and comedian. He is best known for his role as James Evans Jr. (also known as “J.J.”) on the CBS television series “Good Times,” which aired from 1974 to 1979. 
His character’s catchphrase, “Dyn-O-Mite!” became widely recognized and was used in a mid-1970s TV commercial for a Panasonic line of cassette and 8-track tape players, as well as a 2021 and 2022 Medicare commercial.
